I had a great experience at this hotel! It offered a peaceful getaway with beautiful surroundings and an accommodating staff. My two-night stay was especially memorable thanks to the excellent dining options and enjoyable activities. Unfortunately, the room I booked felt a bit cramped and not as clean as I had hoped. Overall, if you're looking for a tranquil spot with lovely amenities, this hotel is worth considering.

Rooms
5.0
The room was tiny and didn't meet my cleanliness expectations.
Service
9.0
The staff was genuinely friendly and gave us a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise.
Location
8.0
The hotel is located in a quiet area, perfect for relaxation, yet it's just a short drive to Santa Barbara.
Dining
9.0
Dining was a highlight; the food was delicious and the snacks during happy hour were a nice touch.
Facilities
8.0
I really enjoyed the pool area and the complimentary wine and snacks provided in the evening.

5.0/10

I was really underwhelmed by my stay here. The hotel feels more like an old motel than a modern hotel, especially considering the price point. While some amenities were nice, overall, the experience didn’t meet my expectations. It was clean and convenient, but definitely not worth the cost I paid.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms are outdated and lacked some basic amenities like a coffee machine. They were generally clean and comfortable, but needed some maintenance and fresh paint.
Service
6.0
The staff tried to be helpful, but it was frustrating to deal with issues like the lack of elevator for my dog, who struggled to navigate the stairs.
Location
5.0
The hotel is situated on a busy street next to a strip mall, which made it feel less appealing. It’s a bit far from the main attractions in Santa Barbara.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited; I only had coffee and a few breakfast items available. It was quite underwhelming for a hotel.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities, including the pool area, seemed small and crowded when the hotel was full. It felt more like a motor lodge than a resort.

6.2/10

This hotel has its moments of charm with beautiful decor and a vibrant atmosphere, but it does come with some drawbacks like noise issues and inconsistent service. The food is delicious but pricey for what you get, and the gym could really use some improvements. Overall, I would stay again, but perhaps with tempered expectations.

Rooms
6.0
While the decor is lovely, the rooms are not very soundproof and can be quite noisy if there are groups staying in the hotel. The mattress was quite firm, which made it less comfortable.
Service
7.0
The staff genuinely tries their best, though the restaurant service was often lacking. The front desk was usually helpful, which made a difference during my stay.
Location
7.0
The hotel is situated in a convenient area, but you can hear road traffic at night, which might disturb your sleep. It’s practical for bouncing between local attractions.
Dining
6.0
The dining prices are on the high side but the food quality was impressive. Still, the portion sizes left me wanting more for the cost.
Facilities
5.0
The gym is quite small with limited equipment, which makes it hard to share the space during peak times. The pool area looked nice but can get crowded.

7.6/10

Our stay at Kimpton Goodland was a mixed bag. The hotel has a unique and funky vibe, with a friendly and professional staff that made us feel welcome. While we loved the dining experiences, especially breakfast, the costs felt a bit excessive for what was provided. Additionally, the rooms could use some improvements in comfort and space for wet items. Overall, it's a charming spot but with some caveats regarding value for money.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were stylish but felt small and minimalist, making it tricky to hang wet towels and swim gear.
Service
9.0
The staff was generally friendly and accommodating, with a special mention for the excellent service we received from Jessie during our first night.
Location
7.0
The hotel is right off the main road, allowing easy access to nearby attractions, but it also felt a bit exposed with less security.
Dining
8.0
Dining was a highlight, especially breakfast, but dinner didn't quite meet our expectations given the cost.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had nice facilities, especially the pool area, though we did find the $25 pool fee a little steep.

6.6/10

My stay at this hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location is fantastic, giving a quiet vibe while being close to attractions, and I appreciated being able to bring my dog without extra fees. However, the rooms faced the parking lot and felt a bit claustrophobic, and the service had its ups and downs with inexperienced staff. Overall, it has potential, but it needs some improvements to truly shine.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were warm and dark, and facing the parking lot made it feel a bit claustrophobic. However, it was a pet-friendly option without an extra charge, which I appreciated.
Service
7.0
While the staff was friendly and greeted us warmly, they seemed inexperienced. They managed to snag us some ice cream when the kitchen was closing, which was nice.
Location
9.0
The location was perfect, quiet yet close enough to Santa Barbara, giving a unique boutique vibe without the downtown prices or crowds.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were minimal and not very family-friendly. It would have been nice to have a bit more variety.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities included a patio with outdoor activities, which was nice, but overall the hotel felt a bit outdated.
